Four Wardrobe Basics Everyone Needs
Hello loves! After polling on Instagram, I came to the conclusion that y’all want to see more blog posts surround everyday pieces. Since I love to give the people what they want, today I’m sharing 4 of my current favorite basic pieces that are always in rotation in my wardrobe and some of my favorite ways to style them. I’ve also included a few lower priced alternatives to show how you can achieve the same look on a budget. I hope you find this post helpful!
Solid Color Cami
The first basic that I think everyone needs in their wardrobe is a basic cami. I recently purchased a black one and a white one, and I don’t know why I didn’t add these to my collection sooner. Currently I love styling these tops with patterned skirts and jeans, but I know once it gets colder in the fall and winter I will be layering them under jackets. The most expensive one linked below is $58 (the black one that I’m wearing) and the least expensive option I linked is $30. This is a piece I believe you could find at any store and at any price point! I am wearing a small in the black and a medium in the white.
Black Slip On Sneakers
I purchased my pair of black slip ons sneakers last summer, and I love how versatile they are. These sneakers allow you to be comfortable and chic at the same time. The pair I own are by Vince which are on the more expensive side, but they are incredibly comfortable and still in great shape. If you can’t shell out $200+ on a pair of sneakers, I found three options below $100 that are still just as chic (I’m thinking about adding the snakeskin pair to my collection!).
Jeans that make you feel GOOD
I always have multiple pairs of jeans in my wardrobe (whoops) so they’re always considered a must have basic in my book. But since denim is such a broad category, today I wanted to focus on my current favorite jeans. I have absolutely been loving the kick flare style, and this pair from Madewell is so good that I own them in two colors. They’re offered in sizes 23-37 and regular, petite, and tall lengths (I wear a regular 27 for reference). These jeans are so comfy and have just the right amount of stretch. Because jeans are so personal and everyone has a favorite retailer, I‘ve just linked my favorite pair below, but i’m sure you can find a similar style from your favorite denim brand.
Classic Sunglasses
In 90% of the photos in this post (and on my Instagram lol), I’m wearing my Ray Ban round sunglasses. I believe that everyone needs to have one timeless sunglass shape in their collection, and this is the style that happens to be my favorite. I’ve been wearing them non-stop since I received them as a Christmas gift over two years ago. If you want to try out the round shape but don’t want to immediately spend the money for Ray Bans, I’ve linked cheaper alternatives below (starting at $6).
This was a bit of a different post for me, and I really enjoyed putting it together for y’all! Let me know what basic piece you think everyone should have in their wardrobe.
