Designer Items Worth Investing In + My Designer Wishlist

Hello loves! I ran an Instagram poll earlier in the week asking what post y'all wanted to see, and my thoughts on designer items worth investing in was the winner. As someone who is passionate about all aspects of fashion, personal style, and the business of fashion, I love doing research and learning about designer goods. When spending a good chunk of money on an item, I think it's so important to do some research and ask yourself a few questions. (how often will I use this item, can I see myself loving this item in the future, etc.).

Here are some items from my personal collection that I think are worth investing in. I hope you find this useful!

Wallet

A good designer wallet is a piece that I think is worth investing in. Wallets never go out of style, and it's an item you'll use almost every single day, no matter your handbag. My Louis Vuitton Clemence wallet was the first designer item I purchased with my own money from my first job. I got it back in the summer of 2015 and I've been using it ever since! Wallets tend to get dirty bouncing around in your handbag, so personally, I would recommend getting a dark color. I love how this particular wallet is the Louis Vuitton signature monogram, but the yellow interior keeps it fun and modern.

Handbags

Bags are my favorite designer item! When choosing a designer bag, I recommend going with a neutral color and understated design. A bag with these characteristics will be in style for the longest amount of time and give you the greatest return on your investment. I love my Louis Vuitton and Chloe bags because they go with any outfit and have stayed current throughout multiple years. Some things I would be cautious of when buying designer bags are purchasing something from a super on-trend brand and going with bold colors and hardware details.

Jewelry

Jewelry is the final designer piece that I think is worth investing in. Simple rings, bracelets, and necklaces can be worn every day and can easily dress up a casual outfit. I wear my David Yurman and Hermes bracelets together all the time, and I love the touch of class they add to my everyday looks.

**BONUS**

I couldn't do a designer post without mentioning my Gucci belt! I love adding this to any outfit to give it an elevated look. This is my only designer belt so I didn't want to make a whole category for belts, but I had to mention it because I love it so much!

And just for fun, to wrap up this post I thought I would include some designers items I have my eye on. I don't own any designer shoes, so maybe that's the next step for me?? Let me know what you think down below!
