End of Summer Favorites
Hello loves! As we head into the last month of summer, I wanted to share some of my favorite things that I’ve been using and wearing recently. I am soaking up the last bit of summer, and I will be getting the max use out of the below favorites. If you want to shop any of my favorites, simply click the pink links or the images.
This is THE COMFIEST and most flattering bodysuit I own. It’s $48 and comes in multiple colors. I love how buttery soft the fabric is, but at the same time the fabric is thick enough that it’s not see through. I loved wearing this on its own this summer, but I will definitely be transitioning it into Fall as a layer under jackets.
The newest addition to my morning skincare routine! This is an SPF 30 mineral sunscreen and I love it for everyday use since it is so lightweight. I love how seamlessly this product layers under makeup; it doesn't ball up like some other SPFs tend to do. Use code THECHANCHIC for 15% off.
I’ve been a fan of wearing claw clips for a minute now, but I love the fun print and pop of color of this one. It’s only $12 and comes in multiple colors - I need to add some more colorful claw clips to my collection!
I’ve been loving square toe sandals since last summer, and these sandals are no exception. They’re super comfy, on sale for $29, and come in 6 colors (neutrals, and fun pops like this pink).
This bag is only $35 and comes in multiple colors (unfortunately the yellow is no longer available online - check your local Zara!). I love the going chain strap and quilted detail. This bag is great quality for the price and I’m considering adding another color to my collection.
What have you been loving this summer? Let me know!

April Favorites 2021
Hello loves! The monthly favorites blog posts are back. With moving towards the end of March, things got crazy and I didn’t have time to put up a post. Below are my favorite products from April. I either purchased these pieces during the month or simply just got a use out of them this month. As always you can click the images of the product in the collage or click the pink links to shop.
I picked these up at Target while I was at home in TX for Easter and I absolutely love the color and the shape of the frame. And for $12.99 they are a super affordable way to be on trend this spring and summer.
I purchased this 10 pair pack of socks for $10.99 and I have been wearing them non stop. I love wearing them with my Converse or Nikes to add a more casual edge to a look.
I caved and purchased this crop top that everyone was posting about on IG - and I love it way more than I thought I would. I barely own any blue, so I purchased this in an attempt to add more of the color to my wardrobe. The top sold out super fast so if you want it, get on the waitlist for when ti comes back in stock in June.
These earrings are another Target find from my trip home. They are $25 and plated in 14K and are the perfect addition to any ear stack. Another great trendy accessory on a budget.
This is the first pair of sandals I’ve purchased this season and I’m obsessed. The yellow gingham pattern is super fun and I love the square toe and lace up detail. They are selling out quick so grab your size while it’s still in stock.
I purchased this mid March, but I wanted to test it out long enough before talking about it. I definitely am seeing results in my lashes! I apply it nightly before bed and it does not irritate my eyes at all. It is also not terribly expensive compared to other eyelash serums on the market.
What was your favorite product discovery of the month? See y’all in the next post.

February Favorites 2021
Hello loves! I know I say this every year, but this year I am really trying to be more consistent with my monthly favorites posts. If you missed my January favorites post you can check it out HERE. I discovered and used/worn some amazing things this month and I think y’all would love these things as well. If you want to shop anything in this post simply click on the image of the product or the pink link. Without further adieu let’s get into my February favorites.
black wool coat
I know that I might own too many pieces of black clothing, but I surprisingly didn’t own a black wool coat until recently. This one is under $200 and super high quality. I love that it’s oversized (I have the small and it’s plenty big) - this will be a piece that I will have in my collection forever and get plenty of use out during upcoming NYC winters.
mom jeans
If you’ve been following along on IG stories I have been looking for new pairs of jeans (which we all know is a STRUGGLE). I found this pair of mom jeans on sale at Urban Outfitters, and they are great! They are from the BDG brand, high waisted, and made of a structured denim that’s great quality. Since this pair doesn’t have much stretch, I recommend sizing up (I’m in the 28).
snow boots
I received these as a Christmas gift, and with the weather we had this month I am so glad I did! I love how they are chic enough to wear with a variety of outfits, yet super waterproof. They’re plenty warm and I know these will last me forever - a must if you live in a. cold area!
screenplay poster
For a while I have been looking for the perfect piece of art to cover the electric box in my apartment - and I finally found the one! When I saw this screenplay of the iconic monologue from The Devil Wears Prada I knew I had to have it in my space. The Etsy shop where I got it from has many different screenplay posters to choose from so there is something for everyone. The posters come in 3 sizes (I have the middle size) and I paired it with a frame from Micahel’s.
tula vitamin c serum
I have been wanting to try this product ever since it launched and I am so glad I finally got my hands on it. The first thing I noticed that differentiates this vitamin c serum from others is the packaging. It’s not a traditional dropper, but rather the cap has a button on the top that when pushed allows you to get the product into the dropper. I use this product every morning and I have definitely seen a difference in my skin; it helps to make the skin not appear dull. Plus, it’s oil and fragrance free which makes it perfect for sensitive skin. I cannot recommend this product enough if you’re looking for a new vitamin C serum. Remember to use code THECHANCHIC at checkout to receive 15% off all Tula purchases.
January Favorites 2021
Hello loves! For my first post of 2021 I’m kicking things off with a good old fashion favorites post. These are products that I’ve been using all throughout the month and loving. You can shop any of the products featured here by clicking on the pink product links - enjoy!
1.Edge Wine Glasses
I know that everyone on IG has these wine glasses, but for a good reason! They are a super chic and modern take on a traditional wine glass which I absolutely love. I leave mine displayed out on my bar cart so they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
2. Dyson AirWrap
I’m going to do a full blog post about this tool, but after a month of using it I can confidently say that I love it! I am still playing around with the different attachments and experimenting with different techniques, but so far I can tell that this tool gives me the most amazing blow out at home, something I haven’t been Abel to achieve with other hair tools. Stay tuned for an in depth review!
3. Get Naked Bath Mat
I finally ditched my plain white bath mat and upgraded to this one. It comes in four colors (y’all know I love my pops of light pink in my apartment) and makes such a fun statement.
4. Always Pan
This pan 100% lives up to the hype. I have used mine to cook both meat and veggies and not only does it cook everything well, but due to its non-stick surface, clean up is extremely easy. If you’re on the fence about this pan I definitely recommend you take the plunge and purchase it. The fact that it comes in multiple fun colors is a plus as well.
5. Aritzia Super Puff Shorty
I received this as a Christmas gift and I’m obsessed. It’s super warm, and I love the cropped fit. The coat also has a thin black layer underneath that you can pull over your hands (with thumb holes!) which I love. Mine is in the color sand bluff which is sold out in the short style, but they still have other neutral options available. I will definitely look into adding more Super Puffs to my collection in the future.
6. Zara Lug Sole Boots
I was on the fence about purchasing these, but I am so glad I did. I especially love pairing them with dresses for a nice contrast. They are out of stock on the Zara website so check your local store if you’re interested, or check out any of the similar options I found from other retailers linked below.
7. Erin Condren Softbound Life Planner + Le Pens
If you were following my planner saga on my IG stories, you know that this was the planner I decided to purchase for the year. I have been a longtime fan of Erin Condren, so I love that this planner has the traditional vertical layout, but at a fraction of the cost of the traditional life planner. I also love that the softbound planner was offered in more minimal cover options. Right now this planner is on sale for $24 so definitely pick one lip if you still need a planner for this year! I love using the Le Pen pens with mine; they write so well and don’t bleed through the pages.
8. Square Sunglasses Duo
I feel so chic when I have these glasses on. Since this style is pretty trendy, cheap pairs are the way to go. Right now this set is on sale for $7.50 for two pairs of sunglasses … INSANE. I can’t recommend these enough.
Let me know if you’ll be adding any of these products to your collection!

Why You Need a Shacket in Your Wardrobe
Hello loves! The shacket has been taking over the fashion world this fall. Shackets are a combination of a shirt and a jacket; they can be worn both ways. I recently purchased my first one and the styling possibilities are endless. Below I’ve included 4 fall outfits featuring the shacket, along with a roundup of 7 shackets that are currently available to purchase. As always you can click on the images to shop the products. How to Style a Coatigan This Fall + Coatigan Shopping Guide
Hello loves! One of my favorite clothing pieces for cooler weather is a coatigan - it’s a mix of a cardigan and a coat. This piece has the silhouette of a cardigan, but is made of a thicker material and tends to have a bit more structured (hence the coat part). I purchased my coatigan at the end of February, so I only had a little bit of time to style it before I went back to Texas to quarantine in March, so I cannot wait to style it this fall and winter! I purchased mine from Mango, but unfortunately it is sold out. Have no fear, later in the post I have linked 6 other very similar looking coatigans at a variety of price ranges.
The first way I styles my coatigan is with a simple white tee and faux leather joggers. It’s an easy piece to layer over a simple look like this one. Over a short sleeve tee, it’s perfect for transitional weather when you don’t need a full fledged coat.
Below are the coatigans I found online that have very similar vibes to mine. Click on an image to start shopping!
I love how a camel color coatigan looks with an all black look. I definitely recommend investing in pieces that you can wear with black, brown, and navy looks - the more versatile the better.
A coatgian looks amazing with a dressed down look as well. Like in the look below from last February, I love layering a coatgian over a sweater when it’s a it colder out. This is the perfect combo for when it’s cold, but not cold enough for a sweater and a full blown coat.
Will you be adding a coatigan to your wardrobe this fall? I 100% recommend it and will continue to share more options with y’all.

Kicke Flare Denim Shopping Guide + How I Style
Hello loves! Jeans of all styles are a staple in my wardrobe year round, but over the last year I have had a love affair with kick flare denim. This style can be dressed up or down, and hits right above the ankle so they can be styled with a variety of shoes and booties. When I first added a pair of kick flare jeans to my wardrobe, I didn’t know if I would know how to style them. If you’re afraid to add a pair to your collection for the same reason - don’t be! They’re super easy to style and in this post I have included a few of my favorite ways that I have styled mine.
The two pairs that I have are both the 7 For All Mankind Alexa Cropped jeans. They are 100% worth the money (although the black pair is on MAJOR sale right now) and if you search the style online you can find a variety of colors. These jeans have the right amount of stretch, are high waisted, and hit at the right point on my leg. Beware - they will be tight at first but I have found that jeans from 7 stretch out after a few wears.
If you want to get the kick flare look but are interested in other brands, I have included a few pairs that I have found online from Abercrombie, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Madewell below for you to shop. Simply click on the photo if you see a pair that you like!
Let me know if you enjoy these how I style/shopping guide post format - I absolutely love putting this style of post together.

Summer 2020 Favorites | Beauty + Fashion
Hello loves! With summer coming to an end, I thought I would share my favorite products that I discovered over the last months. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was in a rut of using the same things over and over, but once I came back to NYC in June I started to get back into more experimentation. I think I am going to continue with the pattern of seasonal favorites for the rest of the year because it gives me more time to experiment with products and decide which are truly my favorites of that season. As always everything in this post is stoppable by clicking on an image or pink link. Enjoy!
My favorite statement top of the summer! I love the champagne color (it also comes in black) and I’m a sucker for ruffles. The straps are adjustable ties which is perfect for people like me with narrow shoulders.
I originally only purchased this bodysuit in the beige color (which is unfortunately sold out) but since I wore it so much I recently picked up the black one. I love the high neckline, and when the temperature gets cooler this will be a great layering piece. Although the beige is sold out, the black and white are still in stock in most sizes.
I love trying out new face masks, and this one is amazing. The key ingredient is sulfur (which I talk more about in this post HERE) which my skin reacts super well to. The mask also is formulated with green tea which combats redness. If you are suffering from acne (or maskne!) you need to try this mask. It only takes a thin layer so the mask is worth the price - it will last forever.
These are perfect for a self care night! They are by KNC beauty (a black owned business!) and are formulated with retinol. They are super cooling and moisturizing under the eyes and the star shapes make them super chic for Instagram photos as well.
I purchased this per your recommendations over on Instagram and it is a new staple in my hair routine! This purple shampoo does an amazing job at keeping my blonde highlights bright - and at under $13 you can’t beat it. This is a super pigmented purple shampoo, so I recommend only using it every couple of washes.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
I have always heard great things about this foundation, and couldn’t bring myself to spend the $$$ on it. I received a sample of this with a Sephora order and after testing it out, I realized what the hype was about. It has a luminous yet matte finish (which I make sure to set with a setting powder). And most importantly, it’s oil free, which is the number one thing I look for in a foundation. I definitely think it’s worth it, especially right now when I am not wearing makeup everyday - so it will last longer.
I don’t think I have shared these on the blog or Instagram, but I have been wearing them non-stop since I got them. The black color is sleek and can be easily dressed up or down. They are waterproof so they were perfect for my beach trip in August. I have been wearing them on quick errands as well - such an easy shoe to throw on in a rush. They’re 100% worth the price.
I am so picky about denim short; I haven’t owned a pair in almost 2 years. I decided to try these because of the wide leg (I HATE when denim shorts are too tight) and they didn’t disappoint. The light wash is super on trend for summer but most importantly I am comfortable in them. I recommend sizing up (I am wearing the 28).
I purchased this bag from an online Staud sample sale through 260 sample sale. It is the mini moreau bag and have been admiring this style for the last 1-2 summers. When I saw that it was included in the sample sale I had to purchase! It’s surprisingly spacious and always makes a statement.
What has been your favorite thing that you discovered this summer? I will be sure to do a fall favorites in a few months!

Additionally, these leggings come in tall, petite, maternity, and kids. Mine are still in great condition even after two years of wear. Gold Earrings Guide
Hello loves! Gold earrings are one of my all time favorite accessories. Whether it’s a statement earring or a dainty huggie hoop, gold earrings are bound to spice up any outfit and add a touch of sophistication. Today I am sharing my favorite gold earrings that I own, along with two brands that I have been eyeing their jewels on Instagram. As always you can click any of the links to shop the pieces featured in this post.
pearl safety pins | face silhouette | chain hoops | large earrings w/ pearl | sparkle huggie hoops | small safety pin earrings | huggie hoops set | circle earrings with pearls
Now on to a couple brands that I don’t own any pieces from, but I have been admiring their pieces on Instagram. There are so many up and coming brands right now selling chic gold earrings - let me know which ones I should check out next!
humans before handles
Humans Before Handles is a black owned business based in Atlanta. All of their statement earrings are under $50 (most of the ones I am thinking about purchasing are around $35). They have so many different styles of statement earrings, and even have plenty of colorful options if gold jewels aren’t your thing.
pearl hearts | pearl hoops | chunky gold hoops | pearl starburst hoops
kiki chic
Kiki Chic is based in NYC and you can shop the brand’s pieces in person at The Market in SoHo. Along with gold earrings, this brand has adorable dainty rings and necklaces (and most of their styles are available in silver and rose gold if that is more your style).
Let me know which earrings featured in this post are your favorite and what brands I should look into next!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Shopping Guide: Apparel + Accessories
Hello loves! Today is the final installment in my Nordstrom anniversary sale series - my apparel and accessories picks. Normally there are more apparel options in the store than online, so I would definitely recommend shopping in person if you are able to and feel comfortable doing so. This is a great time to stock up on Fall basics at a lower price. If I see new pieces added to the online sale I will definitely update y’all. Everything is linked below with prices, descriptions, and my sizes.
I think this patterned coat would be so chic during the NYC winter months. It’s by the brand Avec Les Filles, which is the same brand that designed my fur leather coat that I wore on repeat last winter. This coat is $169 during the sale and $300 after the sale.
Y’all know how much I love Ray-Bans and I think this hexagon shape is so fun and unique. I still have my first pair of Ray-Bans that I got during high school, so they are definitely worth the money. This pair is $99 during the sale with the price going up to $154 after the sale.
I have been loving small hoop earrings lately and I think this pair is adorable. They are only $22 during the sale and come in both gold and silver.
Free People jeans are some of my favorites because of how comfy they are, and since I recently realized I don’t own a pair of black skinny jeans I will be picking these up! This pair is high rise and only $50 during the sale. For reference I am a 27 in Free People jeans.
My plaid blazer is such a staple in my wardrobe, and this one by Topshop is a great option if are wanting to add one to your collection. Blazers can be dressed up or down and I love the subtle red detail in this one. The sale price of this piece is $50 and after the sale it will be $100.
I have been dying to hop on the safety pin earring trend, and since these are $35 I definitely will be purchasing these. These are by Adina’s Jewels and are 14k gold plated - I absolutely love the sparkle detail.
This coat looks so snuggly for winter. I have another Free People teddy coat from a couple years ago that is super warm, so I am assuming that would be the same for this one. Along with this beautiful chestnut color it also comes in a dusty blue option. This coat retails for $99 and after the sale it will be $168.
7 For All Mankind Cropped Flare Jeans
By far my most asked about piece of clothing on my Instagram! These are the Alexa jeans from 7 and they have been restocked at a sale price ($129 instead of $198). They are high rise, have the right amount of stretch, and have a flattering cropped hem. Definitely grab them at the lower price while you can. I wear the size 26 for reference.
A cult classic for a reason. I have had these leggings for almost two years now and they are still in great condition. They hold you in, and can be dressed up or down. I wear the size small for reference. During the sale they are $64 instead of $98.
Let me know what you’re most excited to shop for during the sale! I will be posting frequent updates over on my Instagram.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Shopping Guide: Shoes
Hello loves! Like I mentioned in my home and beauty post I am categorizing my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale blog posts this year. Today I am sharing my shoe finds! I think there is a great selection of shoes this year, with many of my favorites coming in multiple colors and prints. This is a great time to stock up on fall shoes at lower prices. Everything is linked below and if you don’t have access to the sale yet, you can add your favorites to your wish list to easily access when the sale becomes available to you. Let me know what your favs are!
A good leather bootie is a fall wardrobe essential. Booties are also great for transitioning your wardrobe since they are not as hot as a tall boot. This style comes in different croc colors and smooth leather options.
I am absolutely obsessed with these! They’re the perfect fall color, the cap toe gives me all the Chanel vibes, and the cut out detail at the top is super chic. I would love to wear these with dresses and cropped flare jeans.
A great suede over the knee boot is a fall and winter essential. I absolutely love this chestnut color, but there are also available in black if you’re looking for a more classic piece.
These give me the same vibe as my Stuart Weitzman pearl booties that I wore on repeat last season. I love the chunky look mixed with girly embellishments, and they come in both gold and silver.
I have never owned this style of Nikes, but have heard great things. These would complete any athleisure look.
These are the perfect sneakers to wear with athleisure or ‘normal’ clothes. I love the neutral colors combo and the chunky silhouette.
I have seen people wearing a similar platform converse style all over Instagram and I love this all white version with gold detailing. A good pair of white sneakers is the perfect way to dress down an outfit while still looking put together.
These come in 5 different colors and prints (including leopard!!) and are the perfect shoe to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. I absolutely love the gold chain detail.
Stay tuned for my apparel and accessories post coming later this week.

10 Ways to Wear a White T-Shirt
Hello loves! Today I am so excited to share a styling post with y’all. A white t-shirt is a basic that everyone needs in their wardrobe because it is so versatile and can be the basis of numerous looks. Today I am sharing 10 different ways to style a white tee. There are so many ways to style a white tee, but these are 10 ways that I love to style mine.
The tee I am featuring today is this one from Banana Republic. I love this tee because it’s affordable, not see through (ESSENTIAL for a white t-shirt), and has a boxy cropped cut. I wear a size medium. Now let’s get into the looks!
The Basics: tee with denim
You can never go wrong with a white tee and your favorite pair of jeans. Spice it up with your shoes and accessories. Side note- I get so many questions about these jeans. They are the Alexa jeans by 7 for all Mankind. I purchased them a year ago but they have other colors of the same cut currently available.
2. Midi Skirt
Y’all know I have a thing for midi skirts. This is an easy way to dress up your white tee.
3. Business Chic
If you have somewhere to be that requires a more formal dress code, pair your white tee with your favorite suit. (p.s. I found these shoes at Nordstrom rack for under $200 - one of my greatest finds).
4. Layer with a Dress (pt. 1)
A white tee is the perfect layering piece. Wear it under a cowl neck mini dress for a chic layered look. I couldn’t find my exact dress online, so I included a couple cowl neck mini dresses that I like.
5. Layer with a Dress (pt. 2)
Another way to layer your tee with a dress is to wear it on top and tie a knot at the bottom. This works with any kind of slip dress or body con dress. You could also do this with a more casual dress that I did and pair with sneakers.
6. Statement Pants
Balance out your statement pants with a simple white tee. I wish I could find a similar pair of these Urban Outfitters feather hem pants to share with y’all but unfortunately I couldn’t. If you purchase a pair of statement pants but don’t know how to style them, you can never go wrong with a white tee.
7. Swimsuit Coverup
Tie the tee in a knot and pair with your fav bikini.
8. Biker Shorts
The perfect casual look for running errands. I like tying a sweatshirt around my waist to add a layering effect. If you’ve ever wanted these Vince suede slip ons, I found them in stock in almost every size for under $100.
9. Edgy Blazer
You can never go wrong with a blazer! To add some edge to this look I paired the tee and blazer combo with leather leggings.
10. Fitness Ready
The perfect athleisure look for running errands or going on walks.
Which look was your favorite? Let me know which piece you would like me to style next!

Hello loves! Now that wearing masks and face coverings in public is the new normal I wanted to put together a guide of masks that are chic. While disposable masks get the job done, a patterned fabric mask is more fun, can be washed and re-worn (sustainability for the win!). With so many individuals and companies coming out with face masks, this is a great opportunity to support small businesses and side hustles. I will continue to share masks that I love once I see them. I have linked everything below - let me know which mask is your fav!
